Alianor III, Alianor 3, or A3 was designed to be the most advanced fort and a sequel to A2. The project was started in 2012 but to this day, has not been fully completed. It is ATC's most famous project in the clan world and it's most infamous one for the controversial events and delays to the project's production schedules. Alianor III's gameplay circa late 2013 was based off of mechanics from Guerrilla Cambridge's [Killzone: Mercenary] for the PS Vita where modes, assets and mechanics appeared almost identically. The User Interfaces made for the project were inspired by Crytek's [Crysis] and Firaxis Games' [XCOM: Enemy Unknown], with surviving UI Elements scattered within leaks demonstrating these similarities upon comparison.

As part of a Retro Week in 2017, Blandue and other High Command convinced SONICTHEHEDGEHOGXX and SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX to publicly open the place briefly as part of a reverse April Fools joke on the community. No documentation of the event survives outside of the original announcement and only accounts after the event from veterans has been noted.

About[]

This fort was highly ambitious and pushed the boundaries of what could be done in Roblox. The original fortress was designed to bring many functions of traditionally separate group facilities of clans into one larger arcade-style game project. It had a lobby where players could mingle but also customize their loadout, view personal statistics, test weaponry and also could teleport to certain spots on the fort map by using a map on a board in the center of the room. The loadout included armour types, many different types of weapons, abilities, and grenades too. Unlike many other forts, A3 was designed to be akin to multiplayer games where it would have rounds with three different rotating game modes that could be voted for. All in all, this fort would have revolutionized clan technology if it was released during its day.

Setbacks[]

Alianor III has had no issues with architecture as SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX kept revising and completing layouts for the fortress design since 2012. Although the project build was completed, Alianor III remains unscripted to this day.

The first scripter, EchoReaper was part of the concepting stage of Alianor III between 2011 and 2012. At this stage of development, he had created some early elements of the project with SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX, such as the barricades system which would later be seen in FEAR's [Dawn Of Aurora]. Past this, not much is known about his initial involvement or why he initially stopped contributing and no public comments have been made or acknowledged surrounding his involvement with early development. This was brought to light by one of Veterans of Venezia's members years after the fact.

The second scripter, Unclear, completed Alianor III's scripting. One of the accounts of events say he withheld the project files from SHADOWTHEHEDGEOGXX as part of a failed coup d'état with other High Command in a secretive set of chats labelled "Pentagram". Other accounts of the next events are not fully clear but there are two parallel events that happened side by side. Firstly, an update to ROBLOX that brought FilteringEnabled also broke major parts of Alianor III's scripting and Unclear had refused. Secondly, Unclear had refused to hand over the project files and began a campaign on the now shut down ROBLOX forums where anyone who beat him in a game of chess would receive the project files for Alianor III. Unclear left the project a week before the project was set to release, leaving a vast amount of bugs and issues to be patched and shortly after permanently exlied from FEAR for his actions. Unclear had privately spoken his side of these events in a voice call with members of Veterans of Venezia in 2021, confirming some of what was known.

EchoReaper's involvement with the project resumed after Unclear had departed from FEAR in 2013. SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX was familar with EchoReaper and contacted him to fix some of the major bugs that the fortress had. When reading the scripts Unclear had left, he had commented that it may need to be rewritten (paraphrased). EchoReaper's progress on Alianor III was slow, within four or five months he only presented a gun system. Following on from his progress, EchoReaper came into conflict with SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX and SONICTHEHEDGEHOGXX but accounts from High Command surrounding what happened are inaccurate at best. The Result of behind-the-scenes conflict was that EchoReaper departed from FEAR on poor terms with SHADOWTHEHEDHGEOGXX and has refused to comment on any of the past events.

MrNil's involvement was after EchoReaper left as a result of SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX searching for a new programmer. In 2014, he joined the project as an enthusiastic programmer. Not much is known his involvement except that he was faster than EchoReaper, having gotten a working gun system in one month. After more time had passed, MrNil had mostly completed the project again and Alianor III was set to release in a beta stage of development for testing within the coming weeks. Events behind the scenes transpired and MrNil had quit the project over a year after he disappeared from the development process.

Many developers between 2014 and 2016 had worked with SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX briefly, promising they could complete the project and all have failed to meet expectations. None of their names are known, none of them have ever been revealed and it is believed the final years of the project will forever be a mystery to the community. SHADOWTHEHEDGEHOGXX has only confirmed other developers have worked with him between 2014 and 2016, but no more information.

Leaks[]

A potential developer, featherd, had an interview with FEARBETA1 (SHADOWTHEHEDGEOGXX) on an early iteration of Alianor III. They recorded the full interview in three parts. They were declined after the interview and nothing publicly is known about why they were declined, however in spite they uploaded all recordings to Youtube, which can still be accessed to this day. This is the only surviving record of a majority of Alianor III's architecture remaining.

When High Command were allowed to test the project, one of the testers' accounts (redsox4) was compromised and used to access Alianor III without permission. Recordings were uploaded to Youtube of the project but records of these videos have been lost to time.

In 2015, Unclear leaked the lobby of Alianor III, comprising of the weaponry, User Interface, Lobby and all scripting surrounding the fortress. The currently public version is entirely unusable and contains multiple deprecated and removed features of ROBLOX's API from 2013. this is still available to this day. It is the most notable resource you will find when searching for Alianor III.
